This latest example by the police dept leaking "evidence" to bolster thier very flawed defense is nothing less than stunning. With the amount of public attention here you damn well better be sure you are getting this right-and the latest claims are easily disproved under any scrutiny-as the good Mr. Lawrence O'Donnel showed us.
And the threats against basic health care for Women based on the fear of some sort of pleasure being involved with sex vs strait procreation-well that is another jaw dropper.Any thinking individual would reason that allowing the use of contraceptives would lower unwanted pregnancies. Wich in turn would lower the abortion rate-that is what they wanted they say-but nope-Double down on the stupid...
Wisconson-The attack on labor was a deliberate plan employed by every Republican Governor that had Republican majorities to bully through the "legislation" . Well coordinated & applauded by thier base who had doubled down on the stupid long ago by watching Fox & listening to AM attack drones.
In every example the Republicans have plunged head first in a rush to double down on the stupid-
So I must make this prediction...
The Supes will block the "Obama Care" mandate. No doubt in my mind 5-4 whatever the reason.
They will try to rely on attack add's Alfred Hitchcock would be proud of & rely on an ever dwindling voter base thanks to the miracles of youth becoming involved aka OWS & people getting sick & tired of such obvious BS & anger....
And now for what I hope to be...
I long for the day there is a total defeat on what the Republican party has foisted on us...Trickle down & the lack of a manufacturing base have been proven a no win for Americans. As they have reaped so shall we sow the seeds of discontent till the elephant hath no more fury. Withered & shamed into submission is thier fate & I wish it as fast as possible.
That was America after FDR brought us back from the depression by WPA & massive investment in communities with schools & libraries etc... Look at the movies from the era-the "Greedy now know as the Republican party" were derided & rightly so.They had sucked America dry and left nothing when times turned sour.
America is also becoming a little shaggy at the knee's & it is a tad embaressing for a super power isn't it?. One of these days even the dim whitted will figure out the advantages of a single payer health care system & a society that invests in its own future.The road we were headed down till that day in Dallas long ago when I was but 7...But I still remember America then & the dreams we held true.
Shattered like glass & spread like a dandelions it all seems now. But it is still available to us.
