Welcome To A New Civil War

Every day I am becoming more convinced that we are in the midst of a new civil war in this country. With all the hate and vitriol being spit out over the Tayvon Martin murder, I wonder. We are not in an election campaign we are in a political, cultural religious and even racist civil war. That hatred just drips all over the nation and it gets worse every day. The GOP and hate radio spreads the seeds of hatred and racism everywhere in an attempt to fracture the nation into millions of pieces.

The RW is just going ballistic in its defense of Zimmerman. They are getting more and more venemous and more and more strident in their trashing of a promising young man. They are ugly Americans and they are puke as human beings. They are out to enrage the racists and turn them loose with lenient and non existent gun laws. Too many police forces are being corrupted by racist and hatred. And it may be much worse then we know. Sanford may be the tip of the iceberg.

And it looks like the GOP is going beyond partisanship and making it more sectarian over religion and race. And while back I was wondering when it would become a shooting war. It looks like Tayvon Williams and the young man gunned down in Wisconsin are the first more public casualties. How many more unknowns are being gunned down senselessly that we do not know about.

And now the NRA and GOP want to have gun laws that allow conceal and carry anywhere in the public domain. Meanwhile the GOP and RW hate machine are stoking the fires and adding the fuel.

1. Addendum

Since the Vietnam I cannot remember a time when the country has been more divided and hateful. I am concerned that what I just wrote is coming true. I am seeing families extremely and bitterly divided right now. It is almost like that Hatfields and McCoys between family members and it could be permanent splits.

The GOP and conservatives are winning the war for the terrorists, because they are determined to destroy the country for power. Every issue the GOP puts forward is a bitter wedge issue meant to create an atmosphere of hatred and mistrust.

still too many smart folks out there to slide into some major divide. These antagonists are just garnering more attention because of the bizarre nature of their actions and statements. I think our Democratic campaign and our Democratic push is more than enough to stuff their crap back into their gobs. We're not all fighting each other out here, no matter how the events and the way they've been highlighted and portrayed might suggest. There's definitely a challenge ahead of us, but I think we'll meet it head on and make good out of some tragic events and the ensuing exploitation and aggravation by opportunistic forces and individuals.

It is the same damned Civil War we have always fought, the one that did NOT end at Appomattox in 1865. Rest assured, there are those ready to bring back the Confederacy in all it's hideous glory, and those ready to do atrocities that would make Jefferson Davis vomit.
