(22,380 posts)Alfredo had a very deserved win. I kept coming to his photo just to groove with the color and the shapes.
As for mine, I must possibly thank the cat, but then it is a brilliant job of street art on the river road in Asheville, NC and the photo kind of took itself.
Congrats to Mth44sc for the painted storefront, after the fire, emerging from the ashes.
Lovely.
And it's great to find out who took all the rest of the wonderful pictures. I certainly enjoyed this contest.

(7,572 posts)Many excellent photos!!!

(18,636 posts)All the others were wonderful as well.
I especially like "Dragon in the Alley". Though I think that's actually a seahorse, I wouldn't expect to see one of those in an alleyway either. hahaha
Still, a great representation of color, form, and content IMO.

Congratulations to all...we have some talent here.

(14,910 posts)Amazing photographs, fantastic theme and a wonderful host...
I knew right away during submissions that alfredo's photograph was going to run away with this theme. And how.
Congratulations, alfredo!
A bit on my submission:
My photograph was taken with a 50D via 30-second exposure at 28mm (I forget the f-stop; somewhere in the f11 range...) and a led pen light to scribe a grafitti-like image on the exposure.
I actually did a series of these with my wife and daughter one night last summer, including some long-exposure shots with sparklers. So the photograph was actually archival, nothing I shot specifically for this month's theme.
Thanks for the votes, folks. I hope you enjoyed my submission...
