from private corporations who will now charge absolutely ruinous premiums.

Got pre-existing conditions? Then bend over and grab your ankles, because here comes mandatory $3,000 premiums. Or worse.

RomneyCare 2.0 will eat itself. Then we'll have a REAL conversation about real health care reform: Medicare For All. http://www.medicareforall.org/pages/Home

"They'll change when the working class realizes they're forced to buy insurance"

...not true. The mandate is likely to impact very few people.

There are far more people who work in jobs that don't offer insurance than these pundits realize. They're going to get hit, hard; especially the middle class folks. There's a donut hole that's going to appear that will become a bullet hole wound. 8% of your paycheck is a hell of a lot of money when you're already up to your eyeballs in, say, college debt, or a hell of a lot of other things.

Just remember I told you so.

...number of uninsured is known, and that includes those who work and have no insurance. The fact is there are exemptions, there's a cap, and there will be hardship waivers. A significant number of the uninsured are unemployed.

The 83 percent of American who currently have insurance are not going to be affected by the mandate.

They just need to start selling it better. People like it better when they are reminded what is in it.
I'm not sure why they haven't been doing a better job of that.
