The hunt goes on after mudslide in WA
Members of the 141 Civil Engineer Squadron work with the Everett Fire Department to remove trees and debris to allow water to drain from the area that they are searching.
Washington Air National Guard members from the 141 Civil Engineer Squadron search for missing people in the debris field caused by the Oso mudslide. National Guard Members that have been activated are specifically trained in search and recover operations.

The first day, rescuing infant Duke Saddarth.
The youngest survivor of the mudslide, Duke Saddarth, is improving at Harborview Medical Center.
He is breathing on his own and listed in serious condition in the ICU. The 22 week-old infant was pulled from the debris by good Samaritans who heard him crying.

I am glad they are being so careful about releasing info, accuracy over speed and minimal speculations.
"officially" means released by med examiner as they are taking care to accurately ID people, in some cases by genetic testing which means damn.

One additional body was found Saturday, and the number of dead remains low in part because the medical examiner has not been able to confirm identities. Search crews said because of how the mudslide struck they have been finding only partial remains, making the recovery and identification process difficult.
The search by heavy equipment, dogs and bare hands for victims from the deadly Washington mudslide was going "all the way to the dirt" as crews looked for anything to provide answers for family and friends a week after a small mountainside community was destroyed.
All work on the debris field halted briefly Saturday for a moment of silence to honor those lost. Gov. Jay Inslee had asked people across Washington to pause at 10:37 a.m., the time the huge slide struck on March 22, destroying a neighborhood in the community of Oso north of Seattle.
"People all over stopped work — all searchers — in honor of that moment, so people we are searching for know we are serious," Snohomish County Fire District 1 battalion chief Steve Mason said.
