General Assembly wins lower approval rating than McAuliffe in new poll

How do you "win" a lower approval rating

More Virginians than not like the way Terry McAuliffe is going his job as government, but that's not the case for the General Assembly, a new Quinnipiac University poll shows.

The poll reported 44 percent of those surveyed approved of the way McAuliffe has done the job of governor, as opposed to 29 percent who disapproved. Another 27 percent didn't say.

On the other hand, 37 percent of those surveyed approved of the way the General Assembly did its job, compared to 45 percent who disapproved.

They may have a bit of success among those who don't bother to read past the first three words.

You see, the general public (that's you and me) is too unintelligent and unsophisticated to understand the subtle nuances of politics. Ergo, what they (we) approve is ipso facto the wrong thing. Thus, the General Assembly being rated lower than the Governor is a "win" because it shows the politicians are doing the right thing.

Life is so much easier when viewed through GOP-Glass.
