News reports from Orlando are saying that someone on one of the committees

is leaking that the toxicology report inidicates Trayvon had marijuana in his system. This is how the calculated destruction of the crime against Trayvon is downplayed by the media in south Flori-duh and the Governor's office.

Marijuana testing is absurd because it lingers in fat and is detactable for ages after use.

Provide proof, or shut up.

George Zimmerman is still guilty as hell, and the coverup is apparent.

The SYG laws (will be appealed all the way to the USSC) will be reversed as a result of this stupidity.

2nd Amendment ass-kissers can go bite me. You don't need guns to arm yourselves.

It's quite likely he had smoked from the empty bag he got busted for - why would he have an empty bag of weed on him if he hadn't smoked from it?

Weed stays in your system for a while.

This doesn't really tell us anything new or important. We know the kid smoked weed. So what?

He was suspended for having an empty bag in his schoolbag that had marijuana traces. Some other kid could have put it in his schoolbag. Who knows? That is irrelevant. So far there has not been a report that Trayvon had a bag with traces of marijuana on him at the time he was shot. It could have been the case, but it has not been mentioned. There was such a bag in his things at school.

He had the bag with residue at school. That leads me to believe he smoked. I never said anything about the night in question.

This is just tactics to besmirch to character of Trayvon.....still nothing justifies the actions of this creep. He should be charged with murder.

where the asshole is running after Martin. Fuck all this made up shit a month afterwards.

If there were pictures of zimmerman with a broken nose and all that wet grass all over him, LET'S SEE THEM NOW.

Let's see the initial police report and all the toxology reports, the ballistic reports, and the written statements made by the witnesses that "saw the red sweater guy" on top beating the shit out of him.

The lies are multiplying as we discuss this.

him dangerous. Should a 17-year-old kid be killed for smoking marijuana?

Even if true, it goes to show you how absurd this law is.

Having marijuana in your blood would not be a felony even in Florida

Marijuana: What is it and is it legal in the state of Florida

Marijuana [possession] can be a felony if you are caught possessing more than 20 grams of the plant.

http://www.thelawman.net/Criminal-Defense-Articles/Marijuana-What-is-it-and-is-it-legal-in-the-State-of-Florida.shtml

Technically, under federal drug law, the possession of marijuana, in any amount, is punishable by up to one year in jail and a minimum fine of $1,000 for a first conviction. Further convictions and greater amounts result in much stiffer penalties. Relatively few marijuana possession cases give rise to a felony level crime. Marijuana distribution, however, is always a felony under federal law. The sale of less than 50 kilograms of marijuana (the smallest amount category) is punishable by five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

http://www.defending.com/marijuana-possession-laws

If the information is released that Trayvon had marijuana in his bloodstream, that suggests but does not definitively mean that a) he did not have marijuana in his possession outside his body and b) he probably did not have any other drug in his system.

If he had been carrying marijuana or had some other drug in his system, that information would probably also be leaked.

This is interesting but does not justify killing Trayvon. Zimmerman might argue that it justified his following Trayvon -- because he was acting "high," but the officer on 911 told him that he should not follow Trayvon. So Zimmerman disobeyed the officer. The police should have been given the opportunity to investigate.

It's a shame that Zimmerman was not tested for drugs or alcohol.
