How the hell can this new "witness" claim that he saw

Trayvon on top of Zimmerman, but did not witness the shot being fired? How do you watch a fight, but don't see the end of it.

In my mind there's only three ways: the witness is lying; the cops manipulated his testimony; or the damn fight was over everbody on their way and a pissed off Zimmerman decided after the fact that he was in danger, pulled his gun and murdered Trayvon after watching him scream for his life for at least 30 seconds.

2. There does seem to be a time lapse.

The location of the fight and where the body lay will tell a lot. We don't even know for sure if he was shot in the back because that info doesn't seem to be available. What is available is a little baggie for some irrelevant reason.
