after the 2012 general elections he might be the tipping point between Dems controlling the senate or the Republicans taking over.

Manchin has always been so far to the right, he's scraping the guardrail. And the GOP alternatives are so much worse they make Dick Cheney look like FDR.

If we had the general election today, I think we would end up with a 50/50 split in the Senate. As you are aware, Biden's vote would give us control in that case. Manchin is good for one thing: He will caucus with Senate Democrats - unless and until he switches parties after the election.

Too many of these conservadem demand to be put onto crucial committees and often hold absurdly disproportionate power over getting things done. You can bet the centrist leaning Republicans on the other side don't hold this kind of power.

... one of our good Wisconsin Democrats joined ALEC with the intent of keeping tabs on them.

I recall reading recently that ALEC had "outed" him and revoked his website privileges.

He is my congressman and is working with my union to pass HBO 1351 to save the Post Office.

Very disappointing, indeed.

to get him off this cursed list.

We are very good friends with a cousin of Ed Perlmutter's so we have some inside information.

I will also send along a e-mail to Ed to disavow being a member of the ALEC and make sure that they are removed from any fundings from Congress.

And the Chamber loves him.

Reaching for something positive to say in this election year, he rides a Harley. And he's not as bad as any Republican alternative this year.

Now that the word is out, we can logically assume that ALEC wrote any and all legislation introduced by its corrupt Congressional toadies.
