Not then. Not now. Not EVER. They'd rather DIE than admit error (see: Fox News and CNBC).

You can only hope one thing from "Unreachables": That they get disinterested to the point of stewing in their anger and not voting, thus thinning their influence.

The hate-filled, vote-against-their-best-economic-interests "Unreachables" drove the 2000 and 2004 elections to be close enough for Jeb, Kathy, Karl, The Filthy Five 'n' Kenny to steal for the Failure Fuhrer. Let's hope that tragic episode will be the last time we see the "Biff"s of the world willfully destroy progress.

As soon as a holy relic of the High Church of Redemptive Violence is involved, the conversation veers away from the dead teen-ager to the tenets of our national religion, and all substantive discussion stops. In its place, we get empty prattling to exhibit proper veneration for the relic, and we basically end up with "Well, Violence requires blood sacrifice from time to time. Yes, it's insane viewed from outside the High Church, but for we the devotees, even death is preferable to questioning Violence."

And the teachable moment is safely morphed into another round of Kumbaya for the High Church.

K&R.

Actually, the better gun-righters are even appalled at this one. They're just in denial right now. The denial will crumble after Zimmerman walks due to SYG. They just can't believe their good intentions have gone bad, when it's absolutely clear to anyone uninfected by their ideology.

That's the better ones, the gun-righters, as opposed to the nuts, or the gunner-downers. The former also can't see that the latter are insane, also due to ideology.

that last panel echoes what I've been pondering, what if one or more African Americans opt to challenge the "Stand Your Ground" premise, post-Trayvon Martin, by walking a neighborhood or two and gunning down the first "neighborhood watch" person or security guard to approach them.

Don't want your child to carry a gun get a samuri sword much cheaper. With everyone looking out for their own safety cut back on law enforcement save money shrink government. At best Florida Police will be able to eliminate homocide divisions.

This is what real anarchy looks like. Those buried on boot hill are in a sense standing their ground. Vigilante justice and civilization exist only in the delusions of conservatives.
