By Faiz Shakir
This morning on Fox & Friends, billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump criticized Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) to putting out a Republican budget plan that hits low-income Americans the hardest, rewards millionaires, and ends Medicare as we know it.
But Trump wasnt upset with the details of the plan, as much as the timing of the release of it. Its very bad politically, Trump argued, adding, Democrats will have an absolute field day. He emphasized, Republicans, if they pursue this, are making a big mistake.
Instead, Republicans should wait till after the election, Trump said, and that for them to do it now is suicidal. He argued that the GOP budget plan will be very unpopular with the American people, so they should just hide the details for now:
TRUMP: Youre right, Republicans have a plan, but its not a choice that the Republicans are going to win. People are going to take the choice thats best for them even if its not best for the country. [ ]
I think its a very dangerous plan for Mitt Romney. Hes going to be saddled with a plan thats very tough to live with.

(23,343 posts)He only trashed the timing. He'd prefer the budget be held in secret until after the general election. I think Trump sorta likes the budget, just fears the reaction of the voters.

(3,073 posts)It's much better to let them believe the GOP gives a shit about them. Wait till Romney gets elected then screw them with more benefits to millionaires. Of course Trump likes the budget- or any plan that would keep Trump's billions safe and protect his pals. The part that's so difficult to understand, is why the American public AKA the 99%- believes these assholes really care about them and vote against their own interests.

(116,464 posts)it states that in the article: "But Trump wasnt upset with the details of the plan, as much as the timing of the release of it."
Still, calling the timing of the plan "suicidal" and referring to it as "dangerous plan for Mitt Romney" is not good for Republicans and Romney.
