Some events are just metaphors that touch the human soul. This is one of them.

I do not care for Zimmerman... it is the reaction of the RW that I find soooo disgusting.

BTW they look sooo cute. However my children would look a bit Irish and still be gunned down by the British.

I do understand the hate but that will not prevent me from ending it.

A big display of Arizona Iced Tea and my kid asked, 'What's this, Mom?'

My eyes went to another display of Skittles. Could have been a coincidence, an expression of resistance or opportunism.

I had to do a double take, decide whether to bring it up or not.

a sad and tragic one, nonetheless. So many folks taking stock of where they stand on issues of race and society. Here, the kids are both the vulnerability and the strength of our efforts and actions. It's a precarious balance to tend to both needs at once.

How sad that they had to have this lesson in intolerance at such a young age.
