The television judge, and former Shelby County criminal court judge was arrested in Memphis.
We are told Brown showed up to Juvenile Court to represent someone in a child support case. Court workers told Brown they had no record of the case. Brown reportedly lost control and became verbally abusive. Juvenile Court Magistrate Harold Horne warned Brown to calm down, but he did not. Brown was given two days in jail for contempt of court, but that increased to three days when he once again started yelling as he was being removed from the courtroom.

(19,565 posts)It goes on to say he's running for DA of Shelby county. Not being familiar with him or his previous show, I can't say if this is good or bad news.

(78,249 posts)we were demonstrating outside a Subway restaurant in downtown Memphis that had no wheelchair access. As we were setting up, I found myself with custody of the bullhorn. That's when Officer Woodard stepped in. He fixed me with an iron, douchebadgey look, and bellowed "THERE WILL BE NO AMPLIFIED SOUND!" Apparently you need a permit for that or something.
And I'm white. I can imagine what Judge Joe's experience must have been like.
