BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA! Santorum "used a profane word and accused the media of "distorting" his speech."

I'll bet the word was "felch."

FRANKSVILLE, Wis. -- What started as a good day for Rick Santorum took an abrupt turn on Sunday after the GOP presidential candidate grew frustrated with reporters asking him to clarify his remark that Mitt Romney is the worst Republican in the country to take on President Obama.

During his final campaign stop of the day here, Santorum said of Romney, “Pick any other Republican in the country, he is the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama." The comments, Santorum would clarify, were in reference to the similarities between Romney's and the president on the issue of health care. It is a common critique he levels against his chief rival, but never has the former Pennsylvania senator called Romney the "worst Republican in the country" to go head-to-head with the president.

When pressed by reporters to clarify his statement, Santorum said, “On the issue of health care. That’s what I was talking about, and I was very clear about talking about that. OK? Come on guys, don’t do this. I mean you guys are incredible. I was talking about Obamacare, and he is the worst because he was the author of Romneycare.”

But the questions struck a chord with Santorum, and when he faced the same question again, he used a profane word and accused the media of "distorting" his speech.

having to do with bodily functions? Words like "shit," 'piss," "fuck" and the like are merely the Germanic words for those functions, while the approved words are all of Latin origin. Ya know what the little Roman kids wrote on the walls of the defecatoria? Right. "FÆCES," that's what they wrote. Because they didn't know Old German, I suppose.

AFAIK, the Bible only says stuff like You shouldn't take the name of the Lord in vain. Well, unless you named your god "Fuck," I don't see where those Germanic words would get you into much trouble with the Deity.

"If the King James version was good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me."

There is no historical or linguistic context for these people. It's fucking mad.

And now I'm going to hell....

Was what helped defeat him when he was running for governor of Oklahoma when I was living there.

Rick needs to take a page from Monty Python. While they were filming, "Holy Grail," they were constantly asked by reporters what their next film project was going to be, and they got so sick of it, one of them replied, "Jesus Christ: Lust for Glory," which shut the reporters up so they all started using that answer. It also lead to them coming up with, "The Life of Brian."

the fact that what he was swearing about was 9/11 (only about a year later). "That's bullshit, all this stuff about where were you on 9/11."

Such fun watching Brad Henry take that election

to begin with and obviously he can't take the heat, so therefore, how could he be the leader of the "Free" world - huh?

Mittens probably would have said something stupid and Newt would have said something stupider.

What a field of jerks.

I thought it was a sin to use profanity. I think Santorum is nothing but a fake Christian; he cusses, he's a bigot, he lies, he wants to control everyone's sex lives, and he wants to take from the poor and give to the rich. In fact, I would even go so far to say that Bill Maher is more of a Christian than he is, and that guy's an Atheist.

I have listened to the clip of the part of the speech in question and Ricky never
said "health care" at all. But to Ricky's born again fundy dumb ass
supporters he will be seen as a hero for taking on the NY Times.
