An adverb is a word... {That's all it is, and there's a lot of 'em!}
That modifies a verb... {Sometimes a verb! Sometimes...}
It modifies an adjective,
Or else another adverb.
And so you see that it's positively, very, very, necessary.

Cough up $10 bucks and get a star. Then we can vote in your poll. That's my advice.

Once the admins put the "pay what you want" star in place, it's affordable by almost everyone. It supports DU and gives DUers access to cool tools like polls, etc.

I don't care if people contribute, but you can't post a poll without a star. You can ask some questions, but it's not a DU Poll.

But I take your point.

I used to prefer the old days of quarterly fundraisers, that was always a good prompt.

Much let alone the proper use of the Queens English.
What the heck. I'm a moose. Next thing I know you might want me to spell righteously.
Just one thing I want to know.
Were I to use an adverb in a comment would it be....

* Adverb
or...
/* Adverb */
or...
# Adverb
or...
REM Adverb

Now that is the question.

"The man walked briskly..." See? There's the problem in a nutshell.

Walkin' is walkin'.

Who cares how the feller walks? He could walk like Frankenstein for all I care. I don't even know the man.
