Shots fired at Ukrainian base in Crimea

BELBEK AIR BASE, Crimea (AP) — Pro-Russian forces stormed a Ukrainian air force base in Crimea, firing shots and smashing through concrete walls with armored personnel carriers, according to an Associated Press journalist. At least one person was wounded, the base commander said.

around here are celebrating these inconsequential sanctions, meanwhile Putin keeps swallowing more and more of the Ukraine and putting more and more troops on the borders of the country. What fucking world do people live in that think sanctions will stop a madman like Putin? I really want to live in their world, because it doesn't resemble this world at all.

Unless he's going to be running death camps, or ventures into western non soviet territory, Putin is hardly a monster and there's no reason to get involved militarily .
