(6,262 posts)And she tells the truth. If we can't counteract the obscene amounts of Citizens United media money with massive turnouts in the off year-- we and the USA are screwn.
Massive turnout for Dems in an off year? Historically not going to happen,UNLESS we work, work, work. No way we can match the funds. We have truth, but they have the paranoia, knee jerk hate and the unlimited money.
I am very afraid for 2014, unless the general electorate somehow gets smart and motivated.

(10,942 posts)One mistake that the DSCC, DCCC, and DNC are making is focusing on fundraising and not spending time building grass root networks. Rachel pointed that out. Getting White, Black, Hispanic Hindu, Sikh, Vietnamese, Chinese, ect community leaders and business people talking to their friends and customers is worth millions of dollars. All of the listed groups, except Whites came up big for President Obama and Democrats in the 2012 election, the concerns those voters had about republicans then are valid today, democratic leadership groups need to recognize this and get busy building grass root connections. We have the numbers, republicans don't.
