Happy Vernal Equinox, you all!

Today, all around the US (and the world, to some degree), science teachers will lie to their students and tell them that THIS is one of only two days per year when you can stand an egg on it's end. It is a demonstration of the power of misinformation and the longevity that it can have. Just get a few suckers to really believe something and they will spread that shit like wildfire... for decades!

but I have heard tales from all over the US of teachers doing this thing... it takes about 30 seconds of investigation to discover it's false... but the lie lives on.
