US senator (Schumer) promises more L1, H1B visas for Indians

Amid Indian IT firms' concerns over restrictive US visa policies for their employees, a top American senator has assured that he is working on a bipartisan bill that will reform immigration laws and allow more Indians to come to America.

Influential US Senator from New York Chuck Schumer and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid met noted Indian-American hotelier and Chairman of Indian-American Democrats Sant Singh Chatwal at his Manhattan hotel here on Friday.

I am not anti-immigration by any stretch of the imagination, but in a sector of the economy that often sees people go years without being able to find employment after getting laid off, is it possible that companies have been holding out on hiring in order to expand the visa program and hire more immigrants at lower wages? Knowing corporations as I do, I consider it very likely.

Sikhs receive an embrace at the Capitol Hill by the political leaders of America

Washington May 18th - “I am delighted to be the Senator from Punjab as well as from New York” said Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and the former first lady of the United States of America. She received a standing ovation and thunderous applause from the Sikh Americans who had gathered in the Senate side of the Capitol Hill on May 17th for the Sikh American Heritage Dinner Event in Washington, DC. The Sikh Council on Religion and Education (SCORE), based in the nation’s capital organized this event.

(pic is from that specific event where she said that)

It is a great insult for a senator to introduce themselves as being the senator form ANYWHERE ELSE but the state that elected them, particularly when that state is mentioned SECOND

hotels are not a major user of H-1b L1 visas (although they do use some)

so it's a blatent plea for foreign nation/specific ethnic favors, which Reid and Schumer are tripping over themselves to provide

with NO discussion with ordinary Americans, who's only ties are to the USA
