since at least the Cold War (I assume you DO in fact mean Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, et al). The first time I heard that has to've been 25 years ago (and I'm not that old; I would have been about 11).

is not typically adopted in the vernacular; and even if so, 'stan' is only this week now being talked about in just about every single story. Kind of makes you wonder if the MIC is laying groundwork for another war?

Anyway, this topic is not 100% serious, was just venting a bit. Cheers.
