How in the HELL could anyone bitch about Medicare paying for birth control when it pays for penis pumps.

Medicare is very screwy in a lot of ways. Penis pumps are considered durable medical equipment, thus covered under Medicare Part B. BC are considered prescription drugs, and are thus covered under Part D if at all (I'm not sure). Blame congress and the piecemeal legislation.
(to the first reply) Medicare does have people permanently disabled or who are HIV positive and are of child bearing age.
