I keep hearing the apologists for Zimmerman including his idiot neighbor who loves him as well as some of the cops and worst of all, some media, say that the robberies in the gated community in recent months were "blacks" which is why Zimmerman was breathing down the necks of every black person he saw. First of all this is NO excuse for profiling every black person in the neighborhood. Second of all, how on earth do they know this if they weren't caught? I get the sense it's something they are pulling out of there ass as a bigoted way to cover themselves as to whey they were profiling in the first place. I really wish the news media would call them on this as racist made up BS. But as I said before, even the news media seems to be giving this excuse credence. It's making me want to pull my hair out that this kind of made up BS is allowed to float out there and even suggest that this is why Zimmerman was in the right in stalking this kid.

(20,586 posts)his apologists (especially that terrible neighbor) never seem to mention that he had NO legal authority to pursue Trayvon. Is everyone in Sanford or elsewhere for that matter, supposed to assume that every fat guy running after you is just a neighborhood watch captain and you better submit?
We tell our kids to beware of strangers (mainly men) who could abduct them. We tell them to raise a fuss and fight to get away. If Zimmerman gets away with this, it could be an open invitation for child abductors who could select a kid, drive up, get out and grab 'em, if there's no struggle they get what they wanted, if there is a struggle they could just shoot and say the kid was fighting them and that they feared for their safety. I've never heard of a law worse than this current one. The NRA really needs to be reined in before it's too late. And these people that cite the second amendment don't even believe in it themselves. In fact I still don't know a single person who believes in the actual second amendment.

(27,247 posts)The poor kid couldn't even go to the store to get some snacks without that paranoid nutcase following him, then the nutcase attacked him and the kid was screaming for help, and when the cops arrived they just took the nutcase's word that the unarmed kid posed some sort of threat, and they didn't even notify his parents of the murder until much later, and the murdering nutcase is still walking around free
