Nothing, politically, has been more important to me than seeing President Obama re-elected

Did I imagine saying this 6 months ago? No. Did I flirt with the idea of not voting? Yes. But now...

Now? I'm passionate about seeing the President re-elected.

I see it as a fight against hatred and racism and everything that's wrong with this country and always has been wrong with it.

I guess I believe this election is as vital as the repukes think it is.

I am the base.

And now I'm fired up.

President Obama has done an excellent job, no he's not perfect. Considering just what he is up against though, he has done a fine job. The economy is improving the gop is getting more and more batshit crazy and people will vote to reelect him in droves. I predict a landslide election, we will take the house back, keep the senate, and most importantly keep the white house.

And I believe the NRA and its loathsome lobbying for law to give license to kill has just helped re-elect the President.

Along with the war on women
It is really important that we give the President a house and Senate full of Democrats, so that he can actually do something.

I was like you too. My eyes are wide open now. I have voted for Dems all my life, been in a union until I retired, and after seeing what the ridiculous repubs offer for presidential picks, I am glad I am a Democrat. I voted for Obama (of course) I will head to the polls as always.

and the horrors of those 8 years just came flooding back. If that doesn't drive you into the arms of our current intelligent and compassionate President, well, then, I guess nothing will.

Seriously, look who he might be running against.
Lopsided, even for the 'undecided middle' crowd.
But I'm certainly not better off than three/four years ago.
Hope his second time around delivers some hope.
Still, his failings are an easy pick over romney-anything.
Landslide win but I'm not near as excited as the first time around.

The question shouldn't be if you are better, it should be is our country better. I believe whole heartedly it is. Some of the decisions that have been made will help us in the long run. I truly believe President Obama wants to make this a great country for all of us. I want to live in the same country he envisions. I will definitely be voting for him.

The disgusting things the Republicans and their supporters are doing has clinched it. I am including the teabaggers, libertarians and Ron Paul.

I was there when the American with Disabilities Act was signed.

I was there when I. King Jordan became president of Gallaudet University.

I was there at Gallaudet University when terrorists attacked the new President Jane Fernandez and her supporters because she was a woman.

I was banned from democraticunderground and trekbbs because I wouldn't lick the boots of the black supremacists and their supporters. I supported Hillary Rohham during the primaries.

I was there when Hillary Rodham became the Federal Secretary of State.

I was there when the Robert Byrd Jr. and Matthew Shepard Hate Crime Prevention Act was signed into law.

I was in Kentucky when Rand Paul ran and got elected.

I was there when Don't Ask Don't Tell was repealed.

I was in Kentucky during Healthcare Reform.

I was in Kentucky when Healthcare Reform was signed into law.

I am in Kentucky during this birther crap. If the 14th admendment is repealed, because I am not white, disabled, lesbian, oltransgender, speak sign language, atheist, multi-gender and old then I will not be an American Citizen and cannot vote. I will be a Slave.

Enough with the Republicans, Black supremacists, teabaggers and libertarians.

Obama 2012!

P.S. I put this reply in another thread, It was deleted and I am not allowed to post in that thread.. The Excuse was given that I do not support President Obama. One mod supported me. It's 2012! I'm telling the truth of my experiences. I thought this place was called democratic underground, not free republic. Why the censorship!?

Now back to this thread already in progress...

Are the very definition of everything that is soulless and wrong with this country. The sad thing is that they have some very powerful greedy fucking assholes pulling their strings and they will stop at nothing to see Obama defeated and their reign of terror continued. Fuck Citizens United.

It needs to be demonstrated that the birthers, islamophobes and tea baggers are a minority. This is a very important issue.

Aside from that I think Obama's presidency was mediocre. I give him a "D-" on civil liberties and imperialism. NDAA is a disaster. Misuse of the Espionage Act, the crackdown on whistle blowers, the torture of Bradley Manning are too. Then there is the obstruction of a two-state solution in I/P. Then again, we aren't at war with Iran yet. On Economy I give him a "B-".

Of course, Romney, Gingrich or Santorum would all be worse. Also, I still have a little hope that Obama will be more progressiv in a second term.
