McConnell: We Will 'Crush' Tea Party Challengers 'Everywhere'

CAITLIN MACNEAL – MARCH 9, 2014, 2:54 PM EDT

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) believes that incumbent Republicans won't have a problem holding their seats in the 2014 elections.

"I think we are going to crush them everywhere," McConnell said about Tea Party challengers in a New York Times interview published Saturday. "I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country."

McConnell faces a primary challenge from the right. The Senate Conservatives Fund, which backs Tea Party challenger Matt Bevin, believes the candidate has a chance of defeating McConnell the the primary.

"Mitch McConnell is clearly in trouble in this primary or he wouldn’t be attacking Matt Bevin and declaring war on conservatives," Matt Hoskins, the head of the SCF, told the New York Times.

I think the government shutdown scared the .1%'ers to death because they realized that the Frankenstein monster they created was showing signs of becoming uncontrollable. It threatened their ability to steal oceans of money and protect the oceans they have already acquired. That they will never abide.

Dear Tea Party Patriot,

We have negotiated the surrender of the mainstream Republicans and are taking everything they have, including their name.

This was our secret strategy and will allow us to ensure your freedom, and liberty. And guns.

So remember, this fall vote "Republican".

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ,

The Kochroaches are funding Heritage (Jim DeMint et al) so that leaves the Chamber of Commerce groupies to support the traditional Repubs?

Some days I just can't keep up ..... (remember to be kind to old people.....)

The Kochs and the C of C are backing all of them; Koch's do major funding of Heritage and throw a little less to traditional GOP'ers. Meanwhile, the C of C throws major dollars at the traditionalist and a little less at the Teahadists.

Make way for new fervor.

The loons have Sarah Palin rootin' for them, undermining the entrenched old men.
They've got the NRA
They've got the young libertarians

They have the fervor to get out the vote. People who would vote for Mitch are probably tired.

Sun Mar 9, 2014, 09:07 PM
Mar 2014

Well, why not?

Didn't the MSM, way back in time, prove that it could spin *anything* into *anything* when it concocted and sold the Ronald Reagan story. Has the MSM at any time since portrayed the truth? Not that I know of.

No, I don't think MSNBC with its all-star lineup of "pro Democratic Party" pundits is an exception. Far from it. MSNBC is totally embedded.

And flushing out and replacing 80% of the GOP House delegation who either identify with or vote a straight Tea Party line will be quite the challenge, but HEY MITCH, you can do it buddy!
