Or are they resoundingly silent like they are after every other horrific shooting?

(32,713 posts)The NRA is a one issue org. and this is not on that issue.
You'd think they would be all over it.

They will use this to scare their already terrified supporters to give more, yell louder, support more lenient gun laws, and most importantly support right wing Con politicians. And the vast majority of those politicians are RepubliCons.
The NRA is becoming the enemy of lawful gun owners everywhere. Unfortunately many of them have been conned into believing the opposite.
So you get the added bonus as an NRA supporter of also supporting the War Against Women, the drumbeat of War with Iran, the destruction of the EPA, the gutting of Social Security and Medicare, the coddling of oil speculators, and all the other fine positions of the RepubliCon party.
All this so you can "Stand Your Ground" or buy an extended clip for your 9mm pistol so you can shoot a Congresswoman.
Who says marketing doesn't work.

(23,720 posts)Today, the NRA, through its Institute for Legislative Action, continue to support Stand Your Ground self-defense laws that like those it has helped push through the legislatures of several states. Those laws protect people who commit a homicide while protecting themselves and their property.
