Does anyone know how to stop DU from automatically charging my credit card account???

Last edited Sat Mar 8, 2014, 11:30 AM - Edit history (1)

This is on edit:
I just received an email from Skinner and everything is taken care of. Thanks for all advise and attention.

I still intend to pay for my membership but NOT on auto-pay I have tried the various forums and I have emailed Skinner and every other address I could find. Apparently I am not the only one who can't get a response. I NEVER knowingly agree to auto pay ANYTHING and I'm pretty upset about not getting an answer about this.
All I can do is keep posting for help until I get an answer. There should never be a problem with this kind of thing on any site for any reason.

Seems to me you should be able to get them to stop it.

I remember when I donated, there was a field for whether or not you wanted it to be a one time or recurring payment. Maybe you missed that.

If you haven't gotten a response by email, did you try posing in Ask the Admins?

they will ask that you try to resolve the problem. They will give you the phone number
for the charge in question. If that fails they will call and resolve the problem.

This what the CC company did when I disputed a charge. Hope it works for you too.

If so, the default was auto-renew, but you can log in to PayPal and change that. If you've already got a charge on your card, you'll also need to deal with the credit card company.

It will have a new number and payment will be denied on the old one when auto billing hits the old card.

Thanks for all advise and attention.
