"So now you'd give the Devil the benefit of law!"

Roper: So now you'd give the Devil the benefit of law!

More: Yes. What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

Roper: I'd cut down every law in England to do that!

More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned round on you - where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country's planted thick with laws from coast to coast - man's laws, not God's - and if you cut them down - and you're just the man to do it - d'you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake.

The infighting is getting pretty intense. You know primary season is just about here.

...unless you're talking about the midterms, and I don't recall midterm primaries becoming too much fodder for bloodletting around here.

A lot of folks are either staking out their turf for both forms of midterms in additional to the usual rabble rousers and the supposed conservative plants that are here to cause trouble.

I have no thought or preference for 2016 yet. I'm not giving it a thought until after midterms and the shakeout there changes the dynamic.

I'm sorta focused on 2014, but mostly on the MA Governor's race since that's the only thing that I can actively vote on outside of the usual house votes, which as you know from being here usually isn't filled with great shakes. I'm keeping an eye on other races and doing some donations where I can, but mostly it's all local focused.

DU has always had infighting and sometimes it seems worse than others. These days it feels like a series of circular firing squads though with a whole lot of collateral damage.

I'm sure you allege as such... regardless of agenda or a distinct lack of rational reasoning pursuant to that series of laws in the first place.
