Church Blames Mother After Pedophile Reverend Sexually Abuses Her Two Sons

A Minnesota woman was faced with serious allegations in court when church officials claimed she was responsible for the molestation of her sons because she was not protecting them.

that extremely socio-pathic attitude by rapists cardinals/bishops/priests was highlighted in Tuesday night's program. you can see Secrets of the Vatican on-line if you missed it.

One segment covered a testimony by a an American woman who had been raped by a priest when she was a little girl. After the rape, the Priest made her do absolution and penance for her sin, and followed that with threats if she should ever disclose. You have to see this. Even I was stunned at what was revealed in this expose.

when the church isn't comfortable blaming the victim, they'll blame the victim's mother.

This is a disgrace. When will this country take child rape seriously. He raped 2 of her sons and only gets 5 years. Hopefully some other kids will come forward before he is released and his sentence is extended.

7. The church has a lot of nerve. The mother was only following church ideology.

The church preaches that priests are to be revered and trusted because they are closer to God. Essentially the church preaches that God works thru the priests.

While I would like to hold parents accountable, but I have to remember that they are under the influence of a very strong drug, religion.

I ask here, why would anyone belong to a church that is willing to take the chance with priest pedophile rather than compromise their ideology?

The mother should never have trusted a priest with her children, but then IMO she never should have belonged to a religion that allows priests to molest children.

If these cases of molestation happened at the hands of the minister of a neighborhood church, I bet he would be handled very harshly. But this church is one of the most powerful organizations in the world, so they get special treatment. Sadly at the expense of children of the poor.
