Bill O'Reilly: There Must Be A Downside To A Woman President

Last edited Thu Feb 27, 2014, 03:10 PM - Edit history (1)

CATHERINE THOMPSON – FEBRUARY 27, 2014, 1:31 PM EST

There has got to be a downside to electing a woman to the presidency, and Fox News host Bill O'Reilly is determined to find it.

On Wednesday's "The Factor" O'Reilly followed up on Rep. Michele Bachmann's (R-MN) comment that she saw no "pent-up desire" for a female president by posing the question: "There's got to be some downside to having a woman president, right? Something that may not fit with that office?"

Panelists Kirsten Powers and Kate Obenshain were skeptical, but Powers volunteered one example: if a woman felt she needed to act "macho" and vote for the Iraq War -- theoretically, of course -- to make it look like she was a tough leader unafraid of using military force.

"That's what Hillary Clinton did," O'Reilly said.

and that is the burden of being the first. It's made him a little more conservative than he might have been had he been the second or the fifth or so many down the line that his color was irrelevant.

The first Latino president will have that burden, as will the first Asian or INDN president.

It shouldn't be that way, but this country is full of nervous Nellies who are afraid of anything but doughy men with WASP surnames.

it would continue to play havoc with Billo's blood pressure, just like the black guy does and might assist him into an early grave.

That in and of itself is a good enough reason to vote.

Margaret Thatcher.

I don't think gender makes much difference.

We'd still be electing powdered wig wearing men from Virginia dressed in silks and slippers who grows hemp for a crop and makes some spare whiskey to sell.

And no one pointed out that Bush The Fruit of the Loins of Bush The Elder did that in - what was the name of that country? - oh, yah, IRAQ

they'll call a drone strike on you.

A lot worse than what happened to O'Reilly for sexually harassing his producer, which was ... basically nothing. What company *besides* FAUX would keep an employee on after a lawsuit like that ?

What Presidents have done more for RW Screech Radio over the past couple of decades?

Clinton and Obama.

Frankly, I think they'd absolutely LOVE a woman president. It would give them 8 more years of ratings for whining to the base.
