(1,896 posts)This was just released by the fair share housing organization. Here's like 50 million down the drain that could have gone to some better use.
Contractor Hammerman and Gainer Inc., which the state had hired to manage programs to provide nearly $800 million in federal grants to people with homes damaged by Sandy, is seeking another $18.4 million in payments plus interest from the state and has filed for arbitration to get it, according to public documents obtained from the state Department of Treasury and released by Fair Share Housing Center of Cherry Hill. So far, the documents indicate that the state has paid HGI about $32.7 million of the $51.2 million it billed beginning last May.
They've been under reporting the amounts paid to HGI. Back on December 16 they sent them this letter:

(273 posts)Donald Trump says all is well!
Real estate developer Donald Trump told a group of New Jersey Republicans he expects Gov. Chris Christie to make it through the scandals that are plaguing his administration.
"He's doing fine and it's going to be fine," Trump told the Somerset County Republican Organization, where he received the group's "Republican of the Year" award Wednesday night.
"We all go through these patches," said Trump. "I wish him well."
and for good measure,
Jeff Chiesa says: "He has been the target of incessant and unsubstantiated innuendo for six weeks now, and guess what," said Chiesa, "he is continuing to lead the state with incredible integrity."
He knows! He works for Wolff & Samson you know!

(273 posts)he knows! He's a great judge of character. What a great PR move. We'll give an award to Trump and have him praise Christie. Now that will make all the criticism go away! It was a brilliant plan.

(22,308 posts)He isn't testifying. His 5th amendment rights do not extend to documents created during the commission of his public service responsibilities.
I think he is just cooperating without the immunity at this point. Once he comes out and admits he committed a crime and implicates others who were involved with that crime, then I will assume that he has been granted immunity.

Sources tell PolitickerNJ tonight that unredacted emails related to Bridgegate contain "salacious" comments by former Port Authority official David Wildstein about reporters and others.
Another source told PolitickerNJ this evening that the New York Times and Bergen Record now have the emails and their reporters are calling subjects of Wildstein's irritation.
