Uh oh... They are releasing the "pretend gays"

Last edited Thu Feb 27, 2014, 12:31 PM - Edit history (1)

A freeper has hatched a plan:

"I think we need some pretend gays to try to force a Muslim bakery to make their wedding cake."

While I'm not sure what he thinks this will prove (nor, really, am I up on American Muslim wedding traditional foods), I am curious to know what "pretend gays" brings to the table. How about instead of "pretend gays", they use real, living breathing idiots instead?

UPDATE: Craigslist meets Freeperville:

"Is there a man near Houston who wants to go with me to a mosque and ask to be married? You KNOW we’ll be turned down. Then we can raise hell. Maybe this should be done all over the country. And we don’t have to pretend to be gay. In fact, we can scream that we’re straight but we want to get married in a mosque."

I'm not sure how the force will be applied, but I defer to our fake gay's ingenuity (I'm thinking some fabulous masks with lots of feathers).

Any two of our delectable interns can be used for our fake gays, silly.

WHY do they want some pretend gays to trick a Mulsim bakery into baking their wedding cake?

I see neither the desired outcome nor the clever bit needing the gays to be pretend.

When Freeperville is indistinguishable from Craigslist.

Muslims have historically been pretty anti-gay. The nutjobs are equating Muslims in this country to Muslims in Iran that hang gays. Would a Muslim refuse to make a wedding cake for a gay couple? And if he does, will our side want to go after him like we do the Christians? Will we twitter and yelp about his shop like we did for Memories Pizza?

Actually, Jerry Falwell's son did it in the 80's. He posed as an "undercover gay", went to the bars, took part in their debauched revelries and wrote about it in his father's newsletters. An LGBT free press weekly (whose name I forget) used to reprint junior's "reports". They were hilarious.

Sometimes I wonder if freeperville occasionally gets overrun by other liberals who are looking for a good place to troll. It's hard to imagine anyone thinking this shit up, let alone actually doing it. How does one pretend to be gay anyway? Dress up like some flaming gay stereotype? They'ed have to get in shape, buy nice clothes, and shower to do that.

What if their targets don't get that they're suppose to be gay, then what? Just shout out "We're here, we're queer and we want cake!"? What if the bakers don't care? Even worse, what if the mosque agrees to marry them? Lol, could you imagine a more uncomfortable (for them) situation then two homophobic, Muslim-hating freepers being gay married in a mosque? I would pay good money to see that!

to use their religious beliefs to discriminate?

Boy, they really are not very bright.

And what happens after the bakery says no? Are these "pretend gay" idiots going to sue and then go on national TV proclaiming they were refused a gay wedding cake? Good luck explaining that to your bigoted church and family.

No one sued Memories Pizza. 30 pages of yelp reviews calling them homophobic, and a billion tweets of various kinds caused them to shut down for a while. If it wasn't for the donations they got, they'd be out of business because of a stupid comment from one of the employees.
But would the muslim bakery get the same treatment if they refused to bake the cake for the gay "couple"?
