Obama's white flag waving, terrorist-loving Defense Cuts are
a level of spending above what this Republican Congress is currently providing the military.
Even by established Republican standards, righteous indignation over these proposed levels of defense spending is staggeringly dishonest because the terrible, awful, makes-Jesus-cry proposed spending levels are above the current sequester level spending.
These cuts, in the future, are cuts from non-sequester spending levels.
The Republicans imposed the current sequester level spending level as a political stunt.
Remember when the sequester thing was set up and everyone said, "this will insure cooperation because the Republicans will never allow this level of military budget cuts to kick in"? And remember how, when push came to shove, the Republicans didn't actually care, despite the Pentagon telling them they were being irresponsible?
You probably do remember that... but no Republican seems to. They implemented deeper cuts than the Hagel/Obama plan as a political stunt... as a shown of animus toward the federal government.
And now they are screaming Obama is a communist because Chuck Hagel has proposed restoring less than 100% of what the Republicans cut.
