They refused to pay as you go for Bush's war. They wouldn't not even put the bills on the books. There's nothing conservative about about spending money you don't have on things you don't need and then refusing to even open the credit card statement.
And speaking of war - what is so conservative about refusing to have any sort of conversation with people at home or around the world when we have difference? War war and more war is NOT conservative.
And as for money - what is so conservative about refusing to buy bread and milk and medicine for poor kids and grandmas so a few rich white guys and go out and buy more candy and pop?
They insist on being a bunch of busybodies. Who's married to who and what are they doing in their own bedroom. There's nothing conservative about being all up in someone else's life choices.
They insist on imposing their religious beliefs on everyone. Even if this was a Christian nation (which it is not) the beliefs they want to codify into law are not even close to anything Jesus stood for. There is nothing even remotely conservative about that.
I wish we would stop calling Republicans "conservatives" . They may be a lot of things but "conservative" is not one of them.

It's sad watching a whole group of angry people circle the drain; scary when it's most of the people out in the rural communities making the whole damned country circle the drain.

(242 posts)Conservative is misnomer, to say the least. And with that, I'm a 10. Yay me.
