I haven't seen any claims in the press recently that meth is not bad for you. Most of the things I've seen are the before-and-after faces of meth. Which are pretty frightening.

The only this drug is not as bad as another drug discussion I've seen lately is that marijuana is not as bad as meth, coke or alcohol.

Interesting article there probably has some merits. It's good to see a study that was actually conducted scientifically for a change. Rather than politicians or pastors or law enforcement agencies ranting propaganda.

Our whole war on drugs has proven to be such a debacle. With so much propaganda and so many profits to be made by criminalizing activity. It's no wonder that we have all these people condemning people who they consider white trash or black trash or trailer trash based on particular behaviors and making those behaviors the stereotype. As always, it's easy to hate the "other" or "them"

I cannot think of a good thing to say about desomorphine. Are you suggesting that it's OK to use? Really?

This is not a forum for the promotion of opiate drug use.

I think he's advocating for honest discussions of the effects of drugs.

Think back to the "Reefer Madness" days, and the misinformation disseminated by the government regarding the risks of marijuana use. Kids quickly figured out that the government was lying, and if they were lying about marijuana, they must be lying about other drugs as well - "The Government Who Cried Wolf", as it were.

We need to emphasize the dangers of krokodil, methamphetamine and heroin, but we need to be honest about it. I think the OP is suggesting that the threat from krocodil is being exaggerated for propaganda effect. (I don't know if I agree with that, but I think that's where he's coming from).
