Florida Atlantic University student caught on camera attacking staff, students

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- A Florida Atlantic University student from Coral Springs was caught on video threatening to kill her professor and several classmates.

The incident was captured by several students in class on their iPhones and already the video has gone viral. The outburst was so violent, the student had to be removed from class by two FAU employees.

The incident occurred in the middle of an evolution class at FAU in Boca Raton. An outburst students say starts while Professor Steven Kajiura is reviewing for a midterm.

"They were talking about natural selection. They were talking about peacocks and how females choose their mates by their most feathers and the woman started asking about how that killed all black people," said one FAU student.

Students say that's when the girl snaps, ranting and threatening to kill Professor Kaijura and several of her classmates.

2. College students can and do break

It sounds like she needs some serious mental help. It's hard to judge from it but it could be some bipolarism. Strange that she said some weird prejudiced things to people and smacked that guy.

5. Nothing in her statement was prejudiced.

She said when the natural selection thing was mentioned that's what they did to Black people. She herself is Black. I wonder what's going on. It could be mental or it could be emotional. And it's not so strange in the lashing out. Sometimes people do lash out when they have a breakdown.

I believe she was quoted as saying "white people suck, Jewish people who think the world is theirs which it is not, I will kill you"

There are several longer videos on Youtube. It seems like she was asking why evolution kills black people and the professor couldn't give a good answer. I really do hope she gets the help she needs, some of the people commenting on this on the web have been pretty cruel.

4. It may not be mental it could be emotional.

She could be dealing with a lot. I remember I had a friend who had a break down during biology class. Then we came to find out she was raped by a close friend and hadn't spoken about it. Shit blew over in our biology class. And it sounds to me she could have gone through something or going through some things and the internalizing boiled over just by one thing done in class. It happens. I feel for her.

She could be going through some really stressful personal things and just snapped in the class. Jesus, I hope she's okay. To have to be tased 3 times is no joke. She really was going through something.

I'd like to know about her student life and family life. She could have read something in the words of the professor to trigger something she was internalizing for a long time. O she could be schizophrenic.
