I don't buy the argument that "Zimerman can't be racist because he is latino" and this is why:

My wife is Mexican. Both of her parents are also Mexican. My father-inlaws family treats my mother-inlaw like crap. Guess why.....

Her skin is darker.

They are all Mexican, yet they treat her diffrently based on the color of her skin.

So tell me again that Zimerman can't be racist because he is Latino. I'll laugh in your face.

Oh and if you listen to the 911 call, the 911 operator askes Zimerman if he is following the poor kid and Zimerman says "Yea". That's not self defence by any stretch of the imagination. in fact the only way it would be self defence is if the kid pulled out a gun and shot Zimerman who was obviously following and threatening him.

I'm sad to say that just like the OJ case, the police have probably screwed this up so bad that a conviction will be almost impossible. They didn't even take Zimermans gun. If I were the kids dad, I would carry, and the moment I saw Zimerman crusing the neaborhood for his next victim I would shoot him in the head and say it was self defence. After all Zimerman in a known armed and dangerous psychopath. Because I was black, I have no doubt that I would go to jail for life.

This shit has me so pissed that there is not even an appropriat smiley.

ethnic groups is, by and large, universal. Black folks do it to other blacks the same way that your fil's family mistreats your mil. To me, racism isn't just hate for people who look different from you, racism is assuming that a person has a certain character because of his skin tone. Most Americans are brought up in an environment where that kind of thinking is common and it takes a lot of work for one to break one's self of that habit.
