I can't believe the public anti-union and anti-worker sentiments from their legislature.
Do DUers know that the only VW plant in the world without a workers' council is in Tennessee.
Respect to VW in Germany.

(25,252 posts)don't the politicians in the state want their people - these residents that will work in these plants - to be well taken care of and compensated?
If I were running against them I'd be telling Tennesseans that these guys are more interested in the corporations interests versus the interest of the people - fellow Tennesseans - that will be working for these corporations.
They want everyone at the mercy of corporations except themselves and their corporate donors.

That's what the Tennessee government, investors, and monied class wants the workers to believe. Because if 85% of the state residents realize how badly they're being screwed so that the former three can profit off their labor and take away all the resources in the state, there may be some "unpleasantness", just as was prior to the New Deal.
And TPTB in Tenneessee - or in any other Red state - don't want the workers getting above themselves, no siree.
