Facing fury, board says marijuana licensing on schedule despite extensions (Washington State)

Will Washington state ever get a legal version of this in a store? (Getty Images)

It’s been longer than a year since Initiative 502 passed, a hopeful pot seller says, and “the state of Washington doesn’t have one legal marijuana plant in the soil.”

He’s pretty darn frustrated … by the amount of time it’s taken, the complexity of and changes in the rules, the fact that he’ll be forced into a lottery, not to mention the expense of getting and holding three pieces of property for retail just so he can be in the position to be stuffed INTO that lottery!

Then, said Pete O’Neil, the managing member of C & C Shop, THEN comes the news — just out yesterday — that people who didn’t have their act together are getting 30 extra days to find qualifying property, and NOW he’s just flat ticked off.

it answered some questions that I'd been wondering about.

The bureaucratic hoop-circus since the voters of our state said yes is fucking ridiculous, but that's "legal" for ya.
