Sarah Palin doesn't need to read up on the nuances of the bridge scandal to know that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) should have known what his closest aides were up to on his watch.
"I just don't know all the information out there, but it's hard to be the CEO of an organization and not know what the closest people to you are up to," the former Republican vice presidential candidate said Tuesday on "Inside Edition." "I know when I was mayor and manager of this city and then governor of the state, certainly you know what your top aides are up to."
Christie fired his deputy chief of staff, Bridget Anne Kelly, who he said lied to him about her involvement in the George Washington Bridge lane closures. He also asked his former campaign manager Bill Stepien, who was implicated in the scandal as well, to step down from his role with the Republican Governors Association.

"You blow it if you ever try to hide anything," Palin added. "Whatever's hidden, eventually light shines upon it. So I just hope that truth is being told right now."

(2,419 posts)that Sarah Palin said that! It's too coherent. I would see it more along the lines of:
"When those which are under your control and, you know, supervision, take steps that are not in keeping with the ethical standards by which a person who is in a position of authority..." of course said with that familiar Sara Palin twang and blank stare.

Although, I actually agree with her last statement about covering up lies. It's the attempt to cover up the misdeed that gets politicians every single time. That's why, against an actual criminal action took place, it's always better to fess up and let the chips fall where they may.

(2,419 posts)that she knew about Troopergate? Not that it's all that important right now, but I just saw the video of this idiot saying this and it occurred to me that if she was so aware of everything going on during her watch that it must include abuse of the Alaska State Police. Doncha know you betchya.
