It is mind boggling to watch the detectives interview Dunn the day after he killed John Davis...
In cold blood for playing the music too loudly..
Dunn stated that he asked the truck parked next to him at a connivence store, to turn down the music politely and then was confronted by a barrage of profanities which included a promise of killing his bitch ( girl friend)..
He swore one of the Black teenagers in the back of the truck picked up a shot gun and looked as though he was pumping it and that alone told him his life was in danger and frightened to death knew he had to take action, by reaching into his glove dept...pulling his gun and blasting 9 shots at the truck, killing Davis..
There was no shot gun in the back..
Dunn took off as fast as he could back to his hotel room where he order a pizza..Contacted a friend who had connections with law enforcement and eventually was arrested by Police at his home?
I might not have all the facts correct.. Im on the run to work.. But I watched the whole interview and the detectives were all over him and his obvious lies to the point that it was crazy..
Does anyone here have any way of finding this tape which was on CNN today and posting it?
I am just so pissed off after watching this shit making up incredible lies which absolutely made no
sense.. This was not reported on very much today by the msm... Incredible!!!

I think leaving him outside to have a peaceful moment tonight would do him some good.

(8,515 posts)Was probably tipsy enough to get his racist gun apparatus mind set in gear and said to himself lets go get these fuckers.. No facts, but the reality of the situation is so fucking obvious..
Sum it up? Another case of a racist gun owner who worked himself into a frenzy and decided that the time was right to do his part in order to turn this country around..

I think my Ficus tree is developing a complex from getting bashed on it's leaves by the door, and the Crocus is definitely unsettled.

(10,952 posts)the next morning (despite having heard that the kid had died), he and his girlfriend got in the car to head home and take care of Dunn's dog. They got pulled over by the police and both were initially arrested (a witness on the scene was able to give the police a partial tag number of Dunn's vehicle). Getting arrested might have convinced Dunn's girlfriend of the wisdom of cooperating with the police as she has been a prosecution witness.

(8,515 posts)It is amazing.... As soon as they started questioning him about why he poured all those bullets into the truck because he thought he saw someone in the back pumping a shot gun..You just knew he was completely full of shit!!
The detective stated that it was just plain lucky that no one else was injured in the truck..
And if he is so fucking scared, why didnt he just go to a police station?.
Instead of going back to the hotel?..

ETA:
Problem #1 - No weapon in the other vehicle
Problem #2 - the second volley of bullets, they tell him that he will have a high hurdle getting past that

(10,952 posts)are shooting through the door?
Driver sees you with a gun, why would he let his friend let him get out of the truck.
No other witnesses on the scene told the police that the guy was getting out of the truck.
ETA - Police - People don't get out of their car to shoot someone. If they had a gun, they would have shot you from the car.
The kids did say their friend exchange words with Dunn but at no time did he threatened to kill Dunn. He has no history of violence, had no track record. The driver had stolen a car when he was younger, none of the others had any type of record.
Cop - I can see him talking shit with you. He does not buy for one minute that the kid was a threat to Dunn.
Not one independent witness has told the police anything that supports Dunn's story.
The just are not buying his story at all.
busterbrown
(8,515 posts)Wouldnt defense say that he got out on his own..?
Looking forward to more highlights...

(10,952 posts)They are just flat out not buying his story.
35 minutes in - Don't you think you over reacted? Could it be your imagination?
There is nothing in their backgrounds that would leave the police to believe they were capable of the level of violence that Dunn is trying to attribute to the boys.
The boys never left the location. They pulled away and, as soon as Dunn left, they pulled back to get to their friend.
When his girlfriend got in the car he didn't even tell her that he had shot off his gun at the car. All he told her was that they needed to get out of this.
Around 38:40 - police says - "We are so lucky, really there should have been 3 of those 4 boys hit. You could have 3 of those guys dead. Lucky for the driver, the door kept him from getting shot. The front door had bullets in it. He also put some shots in the back of the truck, on of which hit the sun visor of the driver side.
The one that was shot died pretty quickly.

(8,515 posts)Are you telling me that the the kid was shot outside the car and the friends left and then came back..??

(26,330 posts)The SUV driver backed out while the shooter was still shooting.
They ALL drove about a hundred yards away in to the adjacent strip mall and stopped.
This is the only place the prosecution has any problem: A 911 caller saw the commotion and saw the SUV in the next lot and called it in saying the "black males were stashing something in the back of the SUV" (or similar words)..... I don't think this slight "problem" will make a dent in the case.
The SUV then drove back to the gas station for help. A policeman and a civilian pulled the kid out of the back and tried CPR until rescue arrived. He died next to the SUV (in a different parking spot from where he was shot).

(10,952 posts)It sounds like the driver started the car to get away from Dunn (understandable) but did not go far and returned to the store as soon as Dunn left in order to get help for their friend. The police were pretty clear that the boys did not leave the area.
It sounded like the first volley of bullets went in the driver side and back seat doors. The second volley went through the back of the car as the driver tried to get the boys away from Dunn. It is a miracle that the driver was not shot since his door got shot up and one of the volleys from the rear of the vehicle hit his sun visor. The physical evidence did not support Dunn's allegation that the kid got out of the car. Based upon independent witnesses, it sounds like the only person who got out of his car was Dunn.
Having watched the whole interview this guy is, at minimum delusional. It is pretty obvious from the start that the cops are not buying his story. He had no concept of actions having consequences. Towards the end he stated that he didn't know he was being arrested for murder and attempted murder and that really sucked. Not as much as it sucks for the dead boy and his family.
The girlfriend made a comment to the police that the drive home really sucked. Do these people have no clue about anything beyond themselves. Talk about being narcissistic!
There is a news clip about the letters he wrote while in jail. He sounds like a racist pieces of sh**. In one even talked about the Zimmerman case and that he felt he had a stronger case for self defense. He says some pretty bad stuff in his letters.
I will watch the girlfriend's interview tomorrow.

(8,515 posts)I have no proof of anything except this my take to you..
Hes a racist with a gun itching to use it.. He came back from a wedding party for his son and stopped at the store for some wine.. I think hes an alcoholic, combine that with a personality which thrives on rage.. In other words it was only a matter until the perfect storm hit his head..
I know about alcoholism and I gotta tell you... He definitely looked like he was withdrawing while being interviewed.. He really looks physically sick..
Perhaps I should have just emailed my thought on this aspect to you.
But Im interested in what others think..

(26,330 posts)There is a youtuber named croakerqueen something or other that has all the trial videos posted of this and other media trials.
I don't think Dunn was alleging they intended to kill his girlfriend. The "bitch" would have been the shooter according to the shooter.
Although Dunn DID try some lame ass excuse on for size about firing the extra shots, as the SUV pulled away to, "keep their heads down" and/or protect himself as well as his fiancé.
I'm at 90% chance in favor of a conviction. 10% chance some racist hangs the jury.

(11,065 posts)She's great about putting up YT videos of live court cases and gets them uploaded really fast. I watched all of the Jodi Arias and George Zimmerman cases on YT from her uploads.
Dunn was referring to himself with the word "bitch", not his girlfriend. She was already out of the car and in the store when the kids in the SUV pulled up, so they wouldn't have known she existed in the first place much less what she looked like. He continually claimed that the kid in the backseat (who I believe is the one that was killed) said "I'll kill you, bitch" referring to himself... this is also why he claims that he was so afraid for his own life (that he was directly threatened with death).
He's the most ridiculous liar, and his stories don't make any logical sense... "stories" (plural) because he continually kept changing his stories as the police interrogation continued (the kid got out of the SUV, the kid started to get out of the SUV, the kid never opened the door but he heard the latch of the SUV handle being disengaged, the kid got out of the SUV but got back in, etc.). Just absurd.
Watching croakerqueen's video of the first day of trial that had witnesses being examined, here...
When the man who was a witness that was shopping in the store and came out just before the shots were fired (can't remember his name) is listening with the court the video surveillance tape from inside the store, and at the point that the shots were fired, Dunn actually SMILES as he's sitting at the defense table. Ugh.
Check it out at around the 34:07 minute mark which starts with the video first starting.

(8,224 posts)I have run into plenty of people who were playing music I did not like at volumes that were all but painful. That said, I have never asked anyone to turn it down. This I am sure is in part due to the fact that I simply do not care to ever engage strangers in arguments for any reason I can avoid. It may also have something to do with the fact that I am never armed. Alternately my choice of never being armed could be related to my never wanting to engage strangers in arguments.
Either way, the question arises, if this gent had been unarmed, would he have approached an SUV full of strangers and asked them to "turn it down"?, or would he have behaved more like me, as I would have simply concluded my business and then quickly put distance between myself and the source of the noise? (as I always do)
Do guns embolden people to make stupid choices? (or perhaps do guns just make the stupid choices people make more deadly?)

(10,952 posts)Finally, at the 18:18 minute mark of Part II - "Do I need to get a lawyer? It sounds like I am in deep shit."
The truth begins to sink in.
The Black Detective stopped things to determine if he was asking for a lawyer, if so they would have to stop.
20:30 - Maybe I should just shut up.
He is too dumb to realize that he does need to shut up.
He asks about bail. There is no bond in the county they are taking him to on a murder charge.

(26,330 posts).... with AR-15s and do a high risk take down, you ain't talking your way out of an arrest. So you might as well dummy-up. No matter how sweet, deferential or buddy-buddy the cops are acting.
Even if they ask about your favorite sports team.
