It has too many fight scenes plus the fact that children under the age of 2 aren't really supposed to be watching any TV of any kind.

But on the other side, the baby is too cute and thinks he's flying like Super Man... Perhaps there are only a couple of moments in the movie where he's allowed to watch and the only reason they knew he was into it was because when the parents first watched the movie, the kid was sitting with them or being fed in his high chair and at certain scenes he was mesmerized.

respond to my post. Outraged over an observation I'm making. I have a child who is 9. I wouldn't have let him watch Super Man at that age. He actually didn't watch TV all that much then. Even now, he's not too big in TV. He prefers video gaming and watching youtubes of other people playing the games he is (no need for cheat coding magazines anymore when YouTube explains it all even better). He also enjoys reading and will choose that over watching TV.

trying to get a negative response? I mean...is it too much to ask you to step down from...wherever that high place of authority you are...and enjoy the reactions of a little one enthused at the idea (and view) of Superman flying? I'm a parent too, I might agree with your choice with your child, but not with your Mrs.Grundy impersonation.

Really??? (I'm assuming you had a misspelling)

I'm not petrified by your remarks.
I'm exasperated, and you just happened to be the one who jumped in with that type of post.

It's a video clip of a kid who thinks that Superman is a hoot flying. It's not meant to be an example of anything such as bad parenting unless you want it to be.

Some of what you say makes sense in broader terms. That isn't what exasperates me.
Every now and then I wish people would just look at a video clip as a moment to enjoy.

Propped up in a high chair, movie streaming for an hour or two, with eyes stuck on the screen. For a while those horrible videos, Baby Einstein, were all the rage (Bush even brought the woman to SOTU as a highlight of small biz making it big time). They were proven later that they were worse off at teaching children anything...

I wouldn't out it past any parent to do this...

He's obviously loving it.

Lots of kids have the 'falling' dream, and it's pretty scary for them. I never did, I could switch between falling/flying, and maybe because my parents exposed me to old-school Reeves superman when I was a small kid. Hard to say for sure, but here's hoping that kid can own his dreams, always.
