Sleazy insurance ad

At first I thought the envelope was from Social Security. On the front of the envelope, where the return address normally goes, it says in large boldface type:

"Social Security Clarification"

The actual return address on the back of the envelope reads:

"1847 West 2300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84119"

There is no name on either the front or back of the envelope to suggest that the sender is anyone other than the Social Security Administration.

The letter inside the envelope says (in large, boldface type):

"YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY STATEMENT CLARIFIES THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN LONG TERM CARE"

In slightly smaller type, the letter goes on to say:

"Request your FREE comprehensive guide, 'Shopper's Guide to Long Term Care Insurance' today! This 56-page guide provides an objective and informative view."

A box contains the following helpful suggestion:

Way down at the bottom of the page, in very small type (which many old people can't read without a magnifying glass) is the disclaimer:

"Not affiliated with any government agency. LTC Partners and Business Services ... This is a solicitation for long term care insurance. A licensed agent will contact you."

The "members" are the product.

The customers are insurance companies.

Using a search engine, I found the following site:

http://randallachziger.ltcfp.com/media/26-01-2012--1.txt

The web site includes the following statement:
"In California the company is known at LTC Partners & Insurance Services; in other states, as LTC Financial Partners."

The ad mentioned "LTC Partners & Business Services", which is too close to be a coincidence.
