who couldn't make the grade as a real cop so he took his gun out on the streets to play cops and robbers with real bullets.

This is disgraceful. I've spent enough time in Sanford to know that it's a redneck shit-hole, but this is just absurd, and unacceptable.

No arrest or test for drugs or booze? Locals didn't even bother to investigate. Too bad for them that this event became the subject of national outrage.
