Chuck TODD threw in the punditry towel: "Tonight doesn't matter."

On behalf of his overpaid, useless ilk, he just gave it up. Tweety had him and another one going round and round and the air was thick with failure. TODD babbled the word "tranformational" about a half dozen times, punctuating with a couple of "transitionals" as in, Mittens does not connect to the Rethug base as it is today, that he and his daddy would have fit better with the ROCKEFELLER types, but today's Rethug party is looking for a *transformation* and Mittens is just a *transitional* dude, is just not (and THIS/following is a close quote: ) "the tranformational figure that a party trying to be transformed is looking for."

At one point, Chuckie's frustration almost became a cri de coeur, "He's a FIX IT guy, and there's NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, but he's just not a philosophical guy!1" So Tweety dragged a points prediction, "8 to 10 points but be careful with those exit polls GOING AROUND out there!1" My, my, those dang-it mean exit polls!1

They've been wrong and over-hyping everything from Iowa on down and are finally shamed about their curtain being in shreds?!1

As in, you would need a license to be a pundit.

Making an election seem close for the entertainment value to reap ratings is what it is all about.

They hype whoever is the underdog to make it so, hoping that their real favorite ekes it out in a dramatic "must watch tv" moment.

This observation exempts Fox to some extent, given their penchant for women hating finance fascists.

CNN has Candy Crowley, still in love with GWB, and MSNBC has Joey and Chuckles and NBC has the David. While each may have a favorite in whatever race, primary or national, they pull back now and then on their natural sentiments to make it close so we will watch and their advertisers and bosses will be happy.

We KNOW that anyone with any semblance of a brain should vote Dem., but making it close and falsely exciting pushes the chance that the crazies will tip an election resulting in something even more extreme upon which to breathlessly "report."
