His 'investigations' always come after he sets up his target with charges he caused. The old-fashioned description would be he sets up a frame. Like by telling the inspector to ONLY report back on IRS scrutiny of RW groups and to ignore all other scrutiny, thereby trying to FRAME the WH for the targeting of political enemies that never happened. Lazy media let him do it and helped push his frame.

There are a good number of us here who will get your back.

58. Suggestion: focus on ethics
Sun Feb 2, 2014, 08:43 AM
Feb 2014

Please contrast Republican policies with common religious ethics, and hang it loudly and proudly around the neck of the richest member of Congress, Mr Darrell Issa. This can be done with class, the essential underlying message being the hypocrisy of proclaiming what a Judeo-Christian nation we are, in the face of narcissistic and greedy laws and policies the Republicans support.

Pope Francis is about to issue what I hope will be the strongest language heard with regard to private industries' and Western nations' insistence on a fundamental right to pollute the environment however they wish. Use Pope Francis' words and give 'em hell -- call them out for giving us hell on earth, drought in California.

Contrast and compare: be a gentleman, don't mention how unethical he is, rather proclaim your own ethics time and again. As the Christie affair demonstrates, people are finally fed up with bullies.

Good luck.

He asked viewers to contact the show if their incumbent Congress critter just has to go. One of the nominees will be selected by his show, the show will get involved unseating him/her. Guess this means incumbents only. Not sure of how they will get involved.

BTW: Issa was a panel guest on this show.

Thank you everyone for the overwhelming welcome to DU! I appreciate it very much.

I would love to hear from you. Our website and FB page are in the previous post. It would also be great if you could follow me on twitter @dpeiser. We're over 2000 followers at this point and looking to build our online community. We've started a hashtag #FIF for Fire Issa Friday. Would be great if we could get that to trend on Fridays.

Let's stay in touch.

There are links on the website for volunteering and contributions.

And since Issa is a usual target. . .kick his monkey ass! Send him back.

If I may give one word of advice. . .never back down. make him howl until the moon is tired of hearing it. Control the language of the debate and make sure all your ducks are in a row.

Finally, use us here as a resource for opposition research. Issa is a person we want out of Congress.

You're not alone.

but it looks like a tough district, and an opponent with very deep pockets.

Quickly perusing your site, seems to me that your discussion of issues reads kinda jargonesque to me. Doesn't excite me. But I am not all that excited about immigration "reform" either. Your district may vary.

I think it would be important to focus on Issa's record and show people how they are poorly served by him.

and they have all the money. You have California going for you.

I want to caution everyone, in every state. The libertarians are on a stealth game to run libertarians as Democratic.

Be very vigilant in examining any candidate's ideas on economic and civil rights and please watch for ideas on education, taxes, social programs, and civil rights issues.

Do not be fooled by libertarian's liberalism on strictly social/cultural issues, drugs, abortion, religion and LGBT rights.

Issa used to be tied with Michelle Bachman in my mind as the top 2 to be voted out of the House. Now that she's leaving (and Iowa probably has something to do with that), it's an easy call. I'm not in your district, but am in California and am sick and tired of being outraged by all of Issa's shenanigans. You have my full support and I will spread the word.
