Monarchs vs. Monsanto, who has more friends in government?

Like the nuclear freeze movement before it, endangered species and domestic wildlife management that is impacted by big business gets frozen out of any mainstream discussion, as far as I can tell.
I dont imagine this story will change that trend, what with the powers that be and their court appointments.
Hope to be wrong, Im sure plenty will be happy to say so.
