(69,014 posts)I once read a mother's prayer for a newborn son, that when he died, his community would be glad he had lived.
Pete Seeger's music has spread to nooks and crannies of this earth we've never even heard of, but especially it lives here, in the country he lived in and among the people whose struggles he gave brilliant voice to.
We are so glad he lived.
