FORT WORTH George P. Bush recently added more than $750,0000 to his already multi-million dollar campaign war chest, in his quest to become the states next land commissioner.
His fundraising efforts dwarfed those of other candidates in the race, fellow Republican David Watts of Gilmer, who raised another $7,000 for his campaign, and Democrat John Cook, who raised more than $13,000, according to recent campaign finance reports.
Hes got the same name as two former presidents of the United States, said Jim Riddlesperger, a political science professor at Texas Christian University. When your name is George Bush, you are going to be able to raise money.
People give more donations to people whose name they recognize and people who they think are going to be winners.

A Miami-Dade Police Department report includes an account of the December 31, 1994 incident provided to cops by Murry Cohen, Cristinas father.
According to Cohen, Bush--wearing black shorts and no shirt--arrived at the residence and went to his daughters bedroom window, pulled it open, and pushed the screen inward. As Bush was climbing in the window, Murry Cohen awoke and spotted the trespasser. A neighbor of the Cohens also spotted Bush trying to get into the residence and began to argue with him.
With his intrusion thwarted, Bush backed out of the window. Cohen reported seeing Bush then jump into a vehicle and flee. But he would not be gone for long.
Bush returned to the home 20 minutes later and drove his car through the Cohenss yard, causing damage to about 80 feet of the lawn.

(3,231 posts)The savings and loan crook? I am not judging him by alleged crimes of his father, but I do wonder what kind of values he was raised with. He's just another oligarch who was raised to believe the little people exist to put money into his pockets.
