About the *GOP War on Women* - it's just...so wrong.

Really, the GOP war on women is nothing new; but it is very important that this issue is finally under our national microscope.

The fact is, almost all republican men believe that women are innately inferior to men, and they don't believe that women should have the same rights as men. Even some republican women don't think they are equal to and/or should have the same rights as men.

If we examine past and present GOP political and social activity, a simple, glaring fact stands out:

The GOP is an organization that is entirely dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the social, political, and economic inequality of women everywhere. In fact, they are actively trying to take away some of the hard won rights that women currently have.

Obvious, right? "Duh...who knew, huh? No brainer there, Einstein".

And that's the whole point...

Personally, I have never, and would never, consider going out with a republican. No matter what other qualities a republican individual might have, the fact remains that they identify themselves as a member of the GOP, an organization that is actively and relentlessly trying to relegate me to permanent inferior status as a human being. And not only as a woman, but as an LGBT person as well.

Given the actions of the GOP in the past, I have been forced to conclude that a person has to be seriously lacking in self-awareness, honesty, and compassion in order to self-identify as a republican. No quarter.

Republicans are now running for shelter from the shitstorm that Rush Limbaugh so cluelessly brought down upon them by broadcasting his classic, typical arrogant white male GOP contempt for women that is so prevalent among all GOP men. Thanks, Rush! lol

Based on past/present policies of the republican party, it is clear that contempt and disdain for women is endemic within the membership of the GOP.

For this reason alone, it is incomprehensible, to me, how any reasonable human being could ever vote for a republican.

It's just...

so wrong...

I was married to a Fox News-Watching, Limbaugh-listening Republican. I could go on and on. The picture you posted basically says it all.

It's time we brought about a political and social consciousness that clearly illustrates and exposes the republican party for what it really is.

People need to understand how truly gross and icky it is to be a republican.

The saddest fact of the matter is that he was a pretty nice guy and apolitical until he began poisoning his mind with Limbaugh and Fox News. All downhill after that. Divorce was a real bitch in my Italian-Catholic family and, of course, I was the one who was wrong in eveyone's eyes. My daughter would never date a republican or other right-wing bigot. She and all of her friends abhor republicans - so there is hope for the future! Peace.

has warped many susceptible minds.

So sorry about what it did to your ex and your marriage.

Another shining example of "Republican Family Values", huh?

Republican Family Values apparently meant not paying one dime of child support and trashing me to the max amongst family and friends. I can't stand hate-radio and Limbaugh to this day. Divorce, though painful (living on caffeine and nicotine for a year) and very expensive, was a very liberating experience. I am much stronger and smarter as a result of it. Thanks to the support of some good friends ("feminazis" my ex called them) and a damn good(ACLU/ Lawyers Guild) female divorce lawyer, I got what I wanted most - sole custody of my daughter. She saw what went down (although I didn't want that - ugly) and is now her father's worst dream - very liberal, anti-republican, pro-choice and totally anti-war (just like mom). I don't date much but if I do it is not with some republican right-wing nut!

limit my rights in this day and age.

Yes, the planet is falling apart; that's a large part of why I got beaten with batons by cops when protesting at the WTO action in Seattle, and risk my health and freedom at Occupy actions, to try to do something to help stop the madness that is destroying the planet.

If you know of some other effective form of action to take to help save the planet besides participating in Occupy, voting for Democrats, and practicing radical focused personal responsibility in my use of resources and my environmental impact, please let me know about it.

Promoting the wanton destruction of the earth is a very major issue in the mucky swamp of the multitude of GOPers failings. As the primary representatives of the 1% in our government, they have done a great deal of harm by preventing effective environmental and social legislation from being passed

But a significant part of the population, mainly members of the GOP, wanting to take away and/or limit the rights of women and lgbt's is a valid concern for me as well. If you are not part of these two groups, this may not be as great a concern for you as it is for us.
