Garish was the fist thought I came up with. Overly patriotic? Perhaps this is payback for all the flack RL got about the last batch he came up with. Maybe he wants out of the contract... I think they should be okay with letting him end it!

And I think he went all out with the "everything sourced from the US" and then rubbed the contractor's nose in it with the color scheme. The other response I had was ..."good gawd, what the hell is that?" Have to pay me lots to wear that, even if it was free... well, I might grab one of those hats if I found it in the clothing bank though.

Why give this contract to established corporate interests who have no desire to impress? Far better to find an up-and-coming independent designer, someone hungry to prove their mettle, a stylist who would at least put some thought and effort into it and not just throw fabric at a wall and see how it sticks.

Get your priorities right, man!

Some politician must have insisted on the numbers of flags and other crap.

Yeah, they're ugly. They've done better ones on Project Runway.

Time to pack up your work space, Ralph. If this is the best you can do, it's over.

Particularly concerning these Olympics. First issue concerning me is the LGBT issue with Russia. The second issue is the threat of terrorism. Compared to those two issues, the sweaters don't rate a passing thought.

59. The Norwegian Curling Team has had fun with their Olympic clothing

for a while, now ... I think they're great.

"It began with the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, where Svae decided he couldn’t stand the traditional black and white uniforms and ordered matching golf trousers from the designer Loudmouth instead.

Since then, the team’s sartorial affairs have been tracked by a dedicated Facebook page, called “The Norwegian Olympic Curling Team's Pants”, which at its peak had almost 700,000 likes. By comparison, the “official” page of Team Ulsrud has just 860."

2010 -

2012 -

”It would be awful if all the teams were wearing them — it would look like a circus. But I think it's a trademark of the Norwegian team only and we like it that way.“
